Exhaust Header Pipe Dent

Every rider's nightmare. Someone pulled out in front of me... a pickup truck towing a trailer. I almost stopped in time but ended up hitting the corner of the trailer at about 10-15mph. I didn't go over the handlebars. The exhause header pipe hit the corner of the trailer and has a very pronounced dent in it. The bike actually sustained very little damage other than a cracked headlight plastic mount. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the exhaust header pipe is not a single hollow pipe, but has a inner pipe. Does anyone know if this is true for the Savage? I know of other models that have two inner pipes. I think they do this to help prevent discoloration. The bike still runs fine, so I don't think there's enough restriction in the header pipe to warrant replacement. Anyone have any experience in this matter? Thanks.
